	Free Parent Training Resource!

The Center for Prevention and Counseling in Newton is pleased to be able to offer a cyberbullying course to parents and community members FREE OF CHARGE through eLearning online education partner - Mindcross.

The course does not require a login. It is an excellent course and will give parents, guardians and others the information needed to better understand how cyberbullying occurs and what to watch for.


	Internet Safety/Bullying Resources

1 - Facebook: More and more middle school students have a facebook page, here is a helpful parent's guide: safekids.com, click on "safety advice" on the top of the screen, and then on "A Parent's Guide...." on the menu at the right side of the page.

2 - Formspring: there is no need for our students to be on this, but unfortunately it is a popular site: Simply google "Formspring and Bullying" and click on the news links.

3 - CommonSenseMedia.org: a great resource for help with cyber-bullying and other issues.

4 - WiredSafety.org: a site developed by Perry Aftab, a leading voice on the fight for on-line safety.
